The Orange Card is an Australian owned company that develops online courses using highly researched and targeted modules that address the issues in today’s workplace. It is our mission that all workers across the country benefit from this potentially lifesaving information, designed to help make informed decisions about alcohol, drugs, work ethics, and duty of care. Our courses also target workplace ethics concentrating on sexual harassment, bullying and discrimination.
Chief Executive Officer, Founder (Dip of Marketing)
As Founder and Director of The Orange Card and Sideffect Australia, Rod brings to the team a solid understanding of illicit drugs and their dangers. Rod is a dynamic communicator and his One Life, One Choice presentations have reached over 155,000 students across Western Australia. Rod is multifaceted experience as a businessman and Director has allowed him to negotiate national level partnerships and build an in-depth understanding of the current need for drug intervention in our community.
Dr Peter Waterman
Director (PhD Education)
Peter holds a PhD in education, he has been Principal of the year in both WA and NSW. In recent years Peter led the Global Educational Research Institute as CEO, delivering market research in digital learning in Australia and internationally. He was also the Founder and Managing Director for the Foundation for Educational Digital Development.
Peter brings to The Orange Card extensive education experience with over 30 years as a teacher and principal where he has developed a solid understanding in relationship and long term strategic (key account) management. He is an enthusiastic advocate for drug education that believes the Orange Cards online programs is an effective mechanism to engage in critically empowering societies to make informed decisions.
Chief Information Officer
Justin is the CIO for the Orange Card and brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge to the team. Justin has a degree in Computer Science and oversees Orange Card’s IT division. He has a high level of competency in business management and communication techniques including a wealth of experience in managing corporate IT system and networks.
Chief Technology Officer
Ali started with the Orange Card in 2018 in the position of CTO. He manages all aspect for the design and the technical specifications for the operation of the Orange Card. His knowledge has assisted in the development of the technology roadmap for the software and hardware systems that has expanded The Orange Card digital platform.
Dr Ian Lillico
Chief Research Officer
Ian holds a PhD in Education and is a National Fellow of the Australian Council of educational leaders. He is a Churchill Fellow, Government advisor, ex school principal, world expert in Gender education and his research into bullying and behaviour management has been widely acclaimed. His prior and current appointments bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in developing phrasing and language for the Orange Card so it can be presented in a clear and concise manner.
Geoff joined the Orange Card team in 2018 bringing knowledge and resources that have energise the group by the implementation of operation procedure and strategic plans that ensure the smooth daily procedures for the group. He enforces the commitment that is needed when presenting to and communicating with clients and community members.
Business Development / Advisor / Aboriginal Liaison
Former career WA Police Officer/Chief Investigator RWWA. Phil has 35 years of policing experience of drug and alcohol abuse related matters. In recent years he has built strong relationships with Aboriginal communities and mining company executives. He is connecting the Orange Card Online Programs with business leaders in WA.
Social media/marketing co-ordinator
Aimee has extensive experience in the social media/marketing sector, and she controls our social media releases and monitors the day-to-day activity within the Orange Card group. Aimee has developed a quality social media marketing plan and has incorporated us within all the relevant platforms. Including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
Sandra joined Sideffect in 2018 and has advanced skills in coaching Mindfulness and Emotional Clarity. Driven by her own sense of purpose, she has acquired a degree in Psychology and Counseling while working towards becoming a registered psychologist.
National Sales Director
A veteran of the Media industry, prior to being appointed the Sales Director at The West Australian Newspaper David was the Classified and Marketing manager of this iconic public brand. He also held the position of Group Sales and Marketing Manager for Community Newspaper Group in Perth for 13 years. David is also credited with the successful launch and national expansion of Strathfield Car Radios going from 1 store to over 80 stores across Australian. In his media career David has won many national and international awards from WAN (World Association of Newspapers) and PANPA (Pacific Area Newspaper and Publishing Association) for innovation and acquisition. David has also sat on Boards and has been involved in the NFP industry
